Uploading documents
Upload documents directly to a borrower or their account.
LoanPro allows you to upload account documents, customer documents, and common documents. In this article, we'll explain how to upload documents.
Uploading loan documents
To upload a loan document, navigate to Servicing > Documents inside any account. On the main page, you can search for documents through a number of filters: filter by keyword, section, author, or date. You can also click the ‘Only Active’ checkbox to only show documents that have the ‘Active’ status.
To upload a loan document, click the ‘Add’ button at the top right.
Select a section for the document from the ‘Section’ drop-down menu. This helps organize your documents if there are a large amount of documents stored in the account.
Now, either click the drop zone to browse for your document, or drag-and-drop the document into the drop zone. Once uploaded, you can give it a name in the ‘File Name’ field.
File types and sizes
LoanPro will accept the following file types:
- .xlsx
- .xls
- .xlr
- .docx
- .doc
- .txt
- .rtf
Uploading any file that is more than 1 GB takes a long time to process, so we recommend uploading files that are 1 GB or lower.
Click 'Save' to save the file.
You can make the document visible to borrowers on the customer website by clicking the switch under 'Visible'. You can also set the document as active/inactive using the switch under 'Active'. This helps you keep track of which documents are the most current on the loan.
Clicking the arrow on the far right opens a smaller window with the document's General Info and the options to edit, preview, or download the document. You also have the option of sending the document as a letter through Smart Mail House. Only JPEG, PNG, and PDF uploads are eligible for preview.
