Audit Trail

View activity on your tenant and individual accounts.


Audit Trails are different types of records LoanPro keeps to ensure lenders have all the information they need. There are three main audit trail types: 

  • Audit Trail (formerly Global System Notes): Records changes made to the tenant settings.
  • Audit Trail Report: Reflects actions taken inside the tenant like creating, updating, or deleting a loan.
  • Account-level Audit Trails: Reflects notes made by agents and displays a record of actions taken on a loan.

This article will cover each audit trail and provide guidance on where to look for different kinds of information.

Audit Trail

The Audit Trail (formerly Global System Notes) reflects changes that affected the tenant’s configuration like settings changes or restriction changes. Using filters, you can customize your search to find the information you need. To access the Audit Trail, navigate to Settings > Company > Audit Trail.

By default, the screen will be blank. To view results, click ‘Show Filtering Options’. 

The following filtering options are available:
 

  • Categories
  • Agent User
  • Date
  • If you want to see notes for all categories and users, leave the ‘All’ category checked and under Agent User select ‘Any’. Once you’ve selected a date, the results will appear and you can read the information you are looking for. 
     

Audit Trail Report

The Audit Trail Report allows you to search through all of the accounts in your company at once instead of individually. This report can be used to perform actions like  exporting, scheduling a report, creating a collector queue, etc.

To pull the Audit Trail Report, navigate to Reports > Transactions Reports > Audit Trail. In the search menu, input your criteria and click the search icon. The following advanced search options are available:

  • Date
  • Author
  • Keyword Options
  • Agent User
  • Status
  • Grouping
  • Filters
  • Settings
  • Activity
  • Alerts

Once the results have populated, you can choose how to use your data by clicking the ’Data Options’ dropdown menu. 

Account-level Audit Trail

Within a customer profile, loan account, or line of credit account, there are audit trail options that provide information about an account or a customer. This includes settings, servicing actions, and checklists. Collateral information is also available on installment loans. Below are the navigation paths for each of the audit trail types.

Loan accounts

  • Loan Settings > Settings > scroll to bottom
  • Servicing > Notes/Alerts 
  • Servicing > Smart Checklist
  • Collateral Tracking > Collateral Information
  • Collateral Tracking > Insurance Tracking Information

Line of Credit accounts

  • Account Settings > Settings > scroll to bottom
  • Servicing > Notes/Alerts 
  • Servicing > Smart Checklist

For a broader history inside of an account, navigate to Servicing > Notes/Alerts > Audit Trail. Any notes that do not belong to one of the categories listed above will be displayed here. 

Customers

  • Contact & Personal Information > History
  • Employer > History
  • Customer Notes > Notes or History
  • Communication History
